PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Richard Storrs joined the firm in 2010, after practicing as the managing partner of Storrs & Woodland, LLP. Richard has practiced law in Atlanta since 1984, focusing his practice in the areas of business litigation, real estate disputes and construction law.
Richard received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 1981, and received his law degree with honors from the University of Georgia in 1984. While in law school, Richard served as an editorial board member and Notes Editor of the Georgia Law Review. Richard is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Richard is an adjunct professor in the Building Construction Program of the School of Architecture of Georgia Tech and at Georgia State University’s College of Law, where he teaches Design and Construction Law. Richard is an arbitrator on the Construction Industry Panel of the American Arbitration Association, and has arbitrated and mediated numerous construction and business disputes. He is a member of the Construction Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. Previously, Richard was on the Executive Council of the Younger Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Richard’s construction law practice involves representation of general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, sureties, and insurers in resolving construction disputes. He also represents parties in the negotiation and drafting of contracts and is involved in resolving contract, administrative and related issues.
Richard also represents businesses in litigating and resolving a variety of disputes, including those involving trade secret issues, non-compete agreements, partnership disputes, landlord-tenant matters, bankruptcy creditor work, and other matters.
